Heidi Oatis is certified in many prosthetic services and follicle ventilation. She is an expert on quality of life challenges for people who have been affected by cancer, burn trauma, alopecia, scalp trauma. A renowned specialist in human hair cranial and body prosthetics, Heidi’s has extensive training as a mastectomy fitter and is certified by the Board of Orthopedics, The Juzo Academy as a Lymphedema /Compression Garment Fitter and licensed by the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. Heidi has completed 12 years of extensive training in workshops and seminars across the country in Non-Surgical Hair Replacement. For the past 2 years she has been under the supervised training of world renowned Prosthetist David Trainer, in Maxillo-Facial Prosthetics (at the University of Indiana School of Dentistry).
Heidi is a member of the American Cancer Society and volunteers some of her time to the Look Good Feel Good program, an Authorized vendor for the Change a Life Foundation, member of Alopecia World. She sits on the Washington Hospital’s Hospital Foundation Board. She has consulted with various cancer centers across the country.
Heidi is committed to fully educating her patients about their individual procedures and spends the time necessary to discuss all possible techniques and alternatives. Heidi is innovative, detailed oriented and truly passionate about her work.
Heidi’s objective is to provide exceptional and natural appearing results on a consistent basis. In her continuous quest to insure excellence, her patients receive the benefits of the latest technologies and advances in cosmetic prosthetics and non-surgical replacement hair alterations and integration services in her Union City clinic. Her ultimate goal is expand her expertise.
Heidi routinely attends seminars, training and continuing educational courses. She has guest appeared on cable TV as a guest speaker on several occasions, as well as having been featured in several newspaper articles for the unique services she offers at her clinic.
Heidi’s objective is to raise the bar on how the medical industry perceives the importance of equality of life challenges patients face during and after treatment.
